If you've been on social media this past week you might have seen a pair of new signings for Bournemouth women.

Kelci-Rose Bowers, 20, was the first to go viral, as she joined WPL Division One side AFC Bournemouth on loan from Portsmouth. And Bowers was joined a couple of days later by Ellie Butler, 21, formerly of Coventry United.

Bowers' transfer announcement was viewed over 21million times on X, formerly known as Twitter, while a video of the duo previewing their home debut racked up 5.3m views.

Bowers' career started on the South Coast, where she came through the ranks at Southampton - even earning a call-up to the England U16s side. However, away from the game, Bowers is signed up to modelling agency FORTE.

The fashion-forward star has over 29,000 followers on Instagram, and one fan joked she's putting "Alisha Lehmann to shame". Alongside snaps from her day-job, Bowers offers fans a glimpse into her lavish lifestyle - posing on a beach in Florida in one pic and a night-out in Manchester on another.

"I am really pleased," Bowers said. "The girls seem great, there are really good facilities and Steve [Cuss] seems a great manager, so I’m really excited to get going. They have got a great ambition here and good goals to achieve. I want to help achieve that and be a part of that to take into next season."

Bowers will be joined by Butler - who had been on loan at Oxford United for the first half of the season. Butler is no stranger to the upper echelons of the game, and she briefly dated Lionesses' hero Lauren Hemp.

The pair were both on the scoresheet as they made their Cherries bow in the week travelling to Maidenhead. Butler netted the pick of the goals, intercepting the ball deep in Maidenhead territory before beating the keeper at the near post.

On Sunday, the pair are expected to be in action again for their clash with Keynsham Town at the Vitality Stadium. Ahead of the game, Bournemouth announced 5,000 tickets have already been sold for the third-tier women's clash.
